Julia Duva

Julia Duva is a multidisciplinary artist, working primarily in Ceramics. They teach Ceramics at a high school in Williamstown, MA, balancing a personal studio practice alongside their classes. Duva’s most recent projects are fueled by a long-standing fascination with the delineation of craft within the world of ceramics, and how that intersects with textile and tile work. Most often – clothing, tools, and functional objects become non-functional art pieces through an art practice, and take on different significance. Duva is interested in the tension between the useful/useless. @juliaduvaart
